In cooperation with the Energy Community Regulatory School and the Energy Community Secretariat.

Since 2011, Regulation 1227/2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (or REMIT) introduced a sector-specific legal framework for identifying and penalising insider trading and market manipulation in wholesale energy markets across Europe. While currently these rules are not obligatory in Ukraine, they are soon going to become such. Proper understanding of the essence of REMIT and obligations of all participants thereunder are crucial for ensuring transparency on the markets and preventing violations by all parties.
