Joaquin Garcia works as gas market monitoring officer in ACER, Ljubljana. He joined ACER in 2012. Previously he had worked for 4 years at the Spanish NRA, CNMC, and for 2 more in a Spanish electricity utility. He has been involved in the ACER Market Monitoring Report realization from its first edition, assessing the state of the European gas wholesale markets and their trajectory towards an Internal Gas Market. Joaquin has experience in using REMIT data for wholesale market monitoring activities, including the assessment of the effects of NCs implementation. He is an industrial engineer for education and has master a degree in energy business administration.
